OLIVIA LI （Jiayi）

I am a Chinese-born artist who is now studying at the Rhode Island School of Design's Jewelry and Metalsmithing department. My work often investigates the link between material, body, and emotion, fusing Eastern cultural backgrounds with current personal experiences while interpreting inner feelings and societal observations via jewelry, installations, and tiny items.

I feel that jewelry is more than simply adornment; it is also a form of communication that may be worn. Each work is an exploration of "identity," "movement," and "body perception," as well as a tool for me to communicate with the outside world. It is also a tool for me to communicate with the outside world.
